Founded as a group of friends looking to delve into the world of XIV, Daybreak has become more than just a Free Company, and instead a community of individuals with a multitude of interests and experiences. From Raiding the bleeding edge content, to a quiet evening of RP sharing stories, to theorycrafting away at how to best optimize a fight - Daybreak has a little something for everyone.We always strive for understanding, acceptance and tolerance, and hope that you will enjoy your time either as a member, or visiting to see what our free company is like.

About
Daybreak is a Free Company that strives to provide a community atmosphere for our members. Many of our members are veterans from the original 1.0 version of Final Fantasy XIV, as well as quite a few being from ARR.Our goal is to have a little something for everyone. Our leadership and Command Council want to encourage our members to explore aspects of the game they enjoy and may not be familiar with while providing support and assistance to help grow everyone's knowledge and enjoyment.With the new year, and the new expansion Dawntrail on the horizion, now is the time to play catch-up, grind those relic weapons out with a friend and FC mate at your side, develop character stories and RP if that's your interest, and find like-minded individuals to finish out that minion or mount list you want to complete.

Daybreak is ran by a command council of officers. Members are encouraged to reach out to any member of the Officer Council or Guide in the event of an issue. Any concerns regarding FC members conduct or actions may be directed to a member of the Officer Council by non-members by messaging in game.

| Leader | Company Commander | Overall management and head of the Free Company. |
| Command Council | Senior Officer | Acts as the senior command staff for Daybreak. Operates with authority of the Leader and handles votes on FC business. |
| Officer | Officer Rank | Day to day supervisors for Daybreak. Handles managing and running events as well as reporting to the Command Council and Leader any matters of import. |
| Guide | Junior Officer | Responsible for assisting FC members with day to day things, expected to have a solid understanding of the game and usually multiple crafters leveled in order to assist members. |
| Veteran | Senior Member | Senior members of Daybreak who have been with the FC for multiple years or have proven their dedication to Daybreak through their actions over time. |
| Daybreaker | Member | Full member of the Free Company, having passed their Initiate phase without incident or complaint. |
| Initiate | Recruit Rank | New recruits who have been invited to the Free Company and are under evaluation. The initiate period can last anywhere between 2 weeks to 30 days. |
| On Leave | Extended Leave/Vacation | Members who request a leave of absence or who have been inactive for more than 180 days. Upon return they will be reinstated to their normal rank. |
